Update 6: Project we love

Hi our wonderful trotters:

We hope you are well! 

We're popping in with a quick update to share some really fresh news that we never thought we would get the chance to share. We just received the "Project We Love" badge from Kickstarter. 

How awesome is that?!

This is great news! 

Hopefully, this will give us the final push we need, and we couldn't have achieved this without all of your support. So, once again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you

Regarding the campaign status, we're currently at 84% of our funding goal with more than 2 days left. Any continued sharing on social media would go a long way. We are so close! 

Another update will come shortly before the last 48-hour rush. You do not want to miss that one. :)

Update 5: SOLO Mode unlocked!

Greetings Our amazing trotters,

We hope you are doing well. In this update, we want to address the following topics:

  • Campaign status
  • Solo mode

Campaign status

As you are reading this, we have officially entered the final week of our campaign. We are now 70% funded and with the last 48-hour rush, plus some retailer inquiries we have received, we still have faith: TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT!

However, to better prepare for the last 48 hours, we kindly ask you to share on your social media and your gaming group.

We cannot thank you enough for supporting us at this point. We know we say that every time in the update, but we really mean it. You guys rock!!

From our end, we keep pushing on marketing the campaign and trying to find more ways to add value to your pledges, as a way of showing our appreciation and also as an incentive for all the followers who haven't pledged yet.

Now, without further ado, let's get into the main topic, introducing: The SOLO MODE.

Solo mode

For all of you trotters out there who like to travel solo, we are happy to announce that we are releasing the Solo Mode rules for Wanderlust: Discover the World 

Now you can have your solo adventure, race against the Automaton, and try to beat your score with adjusted levels of difficulty and game length.

Solo Mode was initially designed as an expansion for the game, but after considering the feedback from our play-testers as well as our backers, and to express our appreciation to all of you, we decided to include Solo Mode as part of the Base game, in both Kickstarter and Retail (if there is a retail version) versions of the game.

We are currently integrating the Solo Mode in the rule book with play examples, but you can already check out the draft version here ;)

We are also working on translating the French and Spanish rulebooks, hopefully, we will be able to show you the draft version for both of them before the campaign ends.

Hope you like this update and once again, from the three of us here in Pektis Studio we would like to thank you all for your support, our hopes are high and we will keep pushing till the last moment to bring Wanderlust to life.

Update 4: Campaign Status, Contest winners and Retailers pledge

Hello, our amazing trotters!

We hope this update finds you well. In this update, we will address the following points:

  1. Campaign status and added reviews
  2. Contest winners
  3. Retailers' pledge

Campaign Status

We are moving forward, slowly but surely. There are still 10 days left and we need to raise about 10k to reach our goal. In the meantime, we have reached 1050 followers on the campaign, and they will receive notifications when the campaign enters its final days.

If each of them makes the Hobby Traveler pledge, we will be funded in no time. Despite our limited funds for marketing, we are doing our best to send out prototype copies to reviewers. Additionally, we currently have an ad running on Kicktraq.

  1. Continue sharing the campaign on social media or in your local gaming group to help spread the word. If you are like our designer Julian, who works as a teacher in the educational field, consider backing the game for your class or school library. The family variant of the game is a great tool to teach kids while playing.

Therefore, you don't need to cancel your pledge early out of fear of money being taken when the game is not funded.   • Selling the game below the Kickstarter price is prohibited
  • We offer group shipping (shipping/taxes will be charged after the campaign in the Pledge Manager).
  • Copies will include all stretch goals/Kickstarter version of the game
  • Retail Verification will be sent out during the survey on Pledge Manager

Hello again, Trotters!

We hope you had a relaxing weekend and that this week is treating you well so far. 

We would like to share some updates with you about the campaign.

Unlocking Stretch Goals:

As we mentioned in the previous update, we have given a lot of thought to how we can increase the value of pledges and perks for backers of Wanderlust: Discover the World. Your support of the campaign means a lot to us.

To show our appreciation, we have decided to unlock most of our stretch goals before the funding deadline. This is a "thank you" to all of you who have already supported us by backing the game and an incentive to get the wheel rolling even faster toward bringing the game to life.

Our ultimate goal is to bring the game to your table, and even though some of the stretch goals come with additional costs for us, we believe it's more valuable to provide you with a deluxe version that sets your copy apart from the later retail version.

So, travelers, we are excited to announce your new unlocked perks!

We are still trying to come up with more ways to push this campaign even further. It's a tough job, but we believe in our game, and with the outstanding support we're receiving from this amazing community, we'll keep fighting and working even harder to bring Wanderlust: Discover the World to all of you.

Update 2: Campaign Status and Hobby traveler pledge contests in EU/UK and US + Stretch goal ideas

Happy weekend Travelers:

Hope your weekend is going great so far. Here is another update, and in this update, we want to address the following topics:

  • Campaign status
  • Contests
  • Stretch goals

Campaign status

We have been waiting for this moment for a week, and now we can finally announce that we are 50% funded (YAY!!!). This might be a small step for a lot of big companies, but for an indie studio, it is such a significant milestone that our dream is halfway there. We just want to say thank you, whether you have made a pledge or helped us spread the word.

Really, we are truly touched by how amazing our community is.

How you can help further:

The campaign is growing slowly but steadily. Share it on social groups or your local gaming group if you can to spread the word. We are hoping that when the campaign is halfway funded, it will encourage new backers to jump in.

We also noticed that there are almost 900 followers of the project, and some people have sent us a message telling us that they want to wait for the funding to pledge. But don't wait for us to reach the goal to support the campaign! You can help us now to reach it! Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Contest

Speaking of spreading the word, we also want to do our part. We are collaborating with two amazing reviewers with whom we had a blast working in the past to host two contests on Instagram.

Go check out the conditions over on their Instagram and give them a follow. Maybe write one or two sentences telling them how much the board game community appreciates their time and work in bringing valuable content for us to enjoy. =)

If you do not have Instagram, fear not, we will host another contest as the campaign progresses.

Stretch goal 

We thought a lot about our initial stretch goals, although we still believe we are going to be funded. 

However, reaching 50k to unlock the alternative art cover is rather an unrealistic goal. So we are thinking of moving some goals before the funding to give the campaign traction as well as reward our amazing backers who have stood by us so far.

With that being said, every stretch goal we had has been discussed with our manufacturer to ensure that we are able to deliver. Adding more stretch goals before funding, we need to be realistic. If you have any suggestions, please let us know in the comments. We will try our best to make them happen.

Lastly, if you have the time to come back here every day, leave a comment or two. We are happy to chat. 

We just got the game Revive, a hot title since Essen 2022 (yes, we are kicking ourselves for not getting it back then...). We are so looking forward to diving into it.
