Hi, our wonderful travelers!

We hope you're all doing well and enjoying this beautiful summer! We wanted to provide a quick update on the progress of the Wanderlust project. Let's keep it short and concise.

As we wait for the remaining 10 backers to complete their surveys (we have already contacted them and are awaiting their response), we will wait a couple of days and give all of you an update after we close the survey. 

If some of you don't have a credit card, you can contact us, and we will find a solution together.

Meanwhile, we have some good news to share! 

This week, we sent the print files to our manufacturer for revision. This includes all the cards, tokens, wooden components, scoring sheets, and the box. The rulebooks and reference sheets are scheduled for next week. This step is crucial to ensure that the file formats and colors are suitable for mass production. The revision process usually takes 2 to 3 updates to make everything perfect.

While the overall process may seem a bit mundane, we wanted to highlight the design of the deluxe box, which turned out really nice. We can't wait for you to hold it in your hands.

Pledge manager open and New Delhi graphic update

Hi amazing Travelers,

We hope this update finds you well. In this update, we will address the following points:

Pledge manager

The pledge manager has been live for a month now, and more than 80% of the backers have already filled in their shipping information. We will leave the pledge manager open for another 2 weeks. After that, your information and credit card will be locked and charged. (Don't worry if you are moving soon, we will confirm your address shortly before the game ships.) 

If you haven't filled out the survey yet, please do so. We won't be able to ship your game if we have missing information. And Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns;)

Now that the boring logistic reminder is out of the way. Let's have some more exciting updates, shall we?

Graphic updates 

Wait, wait, wait. Did you know that the Taj Mahal is actually NOT in New Delhi?! 

During the campaign, one backer wrote to us on BGG and let us know about our mistake. So, here's the new and more accurate portrait of New Delhi. We hope you like it. We certainly love it!!!

What's next

Preparing for manufacturing, yay!!! 

At this moment, we have decided to work with Longpack Manufacturer for the production of Wanderlust: Discover the World. They have been very responsive and helpful so far, and considering their industry reputation, we believe we are in good hands!

For the following month, Echo and Mahmoud will be focusing on setting up the files ready for printing, while Julian will continue to coordinate with translators to finalize the French and Spanish rulebooks. We are also working on finalizing the contract with localization companies. Once we have a definite contract, we will let you know. However, to make sure our backers receive their game before anyone else, there won't be an English and German retail version of the game in this print run for localization.

Local Pickup available / Abholung vor Ort möglich - No Problem if you already finished the Survey

Hello dear backers,

As you know, this is our first Kickstarter campaign, and it's also the first time we are using Backerkit as a pledge manager. We received many inquiries about the possibility of "Local Pickup." We have researched Backerkit and are pleased to announce that we can now offer it to you, allowing you to pick up the game from two locations.

Pickup locations:

Once the game arrives at our location, you can pick it up in Offenbach and Frankfurt. We will also provide the option to pick it up on selected days at "Playce - die Spiele-Location" in Frankfurt. More detailed information will follow after we receive the game.

P.S.: Playce is a cozy board game café in Frankfurt. If you happen to be in the area, it's definitely worth a visit, especially because they have a great selection of games. Among others, they also have a prototype of Wanderlust available for playtesting. You can find more information at https://playce.rocks/.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer pickup at the "Essen Spiel" event because we cannot guarantee that the game will have arrived in Germany by then.

For those who have already completed the survey:

Some of you have already completed the survey. If you want to make changes, please send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line "Local Pickup." It is enough to include your name in the email. I will then reset the survey and send you a new email. 

No payments have been charged yet, so you don't have to worry about paying twice.

Setting up "Local Pickup" in the survey:

I will now explain how to set up the pickup option in the survey. Proceed with the survey as you have been doing. Don't worry if "2. Addons" still shows shipping options. This will change shortly. In the "3. Shipping" section, enter "N/A" for "not available" and select "Local Pickup" as the country for each address. Please provide your phone number for any further inquiries. That's it. Afterward, only the VAT should be calculated, not the shipping costs.

We apologize for the delayed implementation of this service, but we are trying our best to make the process as smooth and cost-effective as possible. Es reicht, wenn ihr in die E-Mail euren Namen schreibt. Daraufhin werde ich die Umfrage zurücksetzen und euch eine neue Mail zuschicken.

Bisher wurden noch keine Beträge abgebucht, sodass ihr keine Angst haben müsst, dass ihr den Betrag doppelt bezahlt.

Wenn du irgendwelche Probleme haben solltest, zögere nicht, dich zu melden. Wir werden dir so gut wie möglich helfen, sei es über Telefon, Discord oder per E-Mail.

Einstellen der Vor-Ort-Abholung „Local Pickup“

Im Folgenden erkläre ich euch, wie ihr eine Abholung einstellt.

Ihr geht bei der „Survey“ vor wie bisher. Keine Sorge, wenn bei „2.Addons“ noch der Versand angezeigt wird. Dies wird sich gleich ändern.

Bei dem Punkt „3. Shipping“ füllt ihr jedoch bei jeder Adresse „N/A“ für „nicht verfügbar“ aus und stellt „Country“ auf „Local Pickup“. Bitte gebt jedoch eure Telefonnummer für Rückfragen an.

Und das war es. Im Anschluss sollte nur noch die Umsatzsteuer berechnet werden, nicht jedoch die Versandkosten.

Wenn du irgendwelche Probleme haben solltest, zögere nicht, dich zu melden. Wir werden dir so gut wie möglich helfen, sei es über Telefon, Discord oder per E-Mail.

Es tut uns sehr leid, dass wir den Service erst jetzt anbieten können, aber wir versuchen den Vorgang für euch so gut und günstig zu machen wie möglich, auch wenn ihr euch vorstellen könnt, dass mit dem ganzen zurücksetzen bei Hand potenziell einiges an zusätzlicher Arbeit auf uns zukommt.

PLEDGE MANAGER open and FAQ

Hi, travelers!

The pledge manager is now open! Hopefully, you have already received an email from Backerkit. If you haven't, please check your spam folder. 

Pledge manager will be open until mid-June, allowing enough time for backers to respond and fill out the survey. This also means that your card will not be charged until the survey ends.

FAQ:

• When I add a second copy to my existing pledge, the shipping seems incorrect.

We are aware of this issue and have already contacted Backerkit to fix it. If you see that the shipping is not correct after adding the second copy, please contact us so we can manually fix it for you. :)

• I lost my survey link!

• I do not have a credit card. How can I pay?

We received some messages from backers who do not own a credit card and previously paid with Apple Pay. If you are experiencing this issue, please contact us, and we will help you solve the problem. 

While the pledge manager is running, we will take this time to finalize the rulebooks (English and German), translate into French (thank you, Koub), and Spanish (thank you, Mareike), and finalize all the graphic edits. 

We know updates three days in a row can be a bit annoying, so expect us to go back to the normal upload schedule (once a month unless there are major achievements) after this one. :)

Pledge Manager coming tomorrow!

Hi Globetrotters,

The Pledge Manager will be available tomorrow! YAY! 

We are aware that we have many first-time backers with us, so we would like to provide some instructions to guide you through the process.

What is a Pledge Manager? 

A Pledge Manager is a third-party platform where you can log in and manage your pledge to Wanderlust: Discover the World. This will allow you to:

• Add additional copies of the game to your pledge.
• Enter your shipping address and phone number.
• Pay the remaining balance.

It's important to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfill your rewards and also to avoid receiving multiple reminder emails.

You don't need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. 

When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like.

We're starting to send some invites (about 5% of our backers) to access the Pledge Manager. This "smoke test" is to ensure everything is running smoothly before we send out all of the invites. The invites will be sent to your email inbox. Afterward, if everything runs smoothly, the rest of the invites will be sent out tomorrow (May 6th).

Here's how it would look after you click the link:

1. Check if the information is correct.

2: Answer some questions and always click NEXT.

3: On the add-on page. Click NEXT.

If you wish to add another copy of the game, you can click Add to Cart and click NEXT.

Shipping fees and VAT are automatically calculated and added.

4:In the shipping page, you MUST fill out all the information, then click NEXT.

5: Confirm your information then add the payment method and click Place my Order.

And voila, you're all set! 

It should be fairly easy to follow; however, if you have any questions, you can send them to us at [email protected].
